The Tottenham Hotspur ace has once again experienced an injury-hit campaign.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media during his pre-match press conference today, ahead of his side’s trip to Swansea City on Tuesday, and delivered a concerning injury update on Mousa Dembele, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
The Belgian has suffered horrendous luck with injuries since making his move to Tottenham in the summer of 2012, and his latest setback will be a real concern for Pochettino and Spurs fans, what with his importance to the side.
The 30-year-old has started just nine Premier League games for the Lilywhites this season, and had to be replaced after just 54 minutes against Southampton on Boxing Day, after suffering problems in his hip and groin.

Pochettino addressed the media today during his pre-match press conference, and delivered worrying news for Spurs fans regarding Dembele’s injury problems, as quoted by Football.London:

“He suffered a problem in his hip and groin, that is why he had to get off the pitch [against Southampton]. We are assessing him today. He’s not training with the group and he’s another doubt for Tuesday.”
With so many games coming thick and fast for Tottenham over the next few weeks, Dembele’s injury is the last thing that Pochettino needs, and the depth of his squad will be well and truly tested throughout the course of January.
