Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a move for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Tottenham Hotspur have seen Hugo Lloris suffer an up and down 2018, with some recent mistakes leading many to believe a new goalkeeper is needed.
Lloris has been a superb goalkeeper ever since his 2012 move from Lyon, but some rash decisions coming off his line have left many confused – and wondering whether he needs to be replaced.
Michel Vorm is out of contract in the summer and Paulo Gazzaniga appears to just be a backup, so Spurs moving for a goalkeeper at the end of the season wouldn’t be a huge surprise.
Now, Voetbal International in the Netherlands report that Tottenham are keen to snap up Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana in 2019, believing that he could be the heir to Lloris in the Spurs goal.
Onana, 22, already has more than 100 appearances for Ajax and six caps for Cameroon, emerging as one of the top young goalkeepers in the world having previously been in the Barcelona ranks.
Some may not be too familiar with Onana, but one man who would be delighted with such a move from Mauricio Pochettino is Spurs defender Davinson Sanchez.

Sanchez played in front of Onana in the Ajax back line, and the two became close friends with the Amsterdam club, and Onana suggested that Sanchez was one of the best defenders around in the 2016-17 season whilst admitting he was sad to see the Colombian leave Ajax for Spurs.
Their friendship not only led to fun off the pitch, but also great success on it, as Ajax reached the 2017 Europa League final, and a reunion would no doubt leave Sanchez ecstatic – and give him great comfort knowing a friend and former teammate is behind him, with a move making even more sense if Spurs can also land Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt to reunite a formidable trio.
