Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly desperately trying to get a deal done for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
According to Rudy Galetti on Twitter, Chelsea are in talks with Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion over a move for Moises Caicedo.
The Blues and the Seagulls have agreed on the £80 million fixed fee for the 21-year-old Ecuador international midfielder, described as an “exciting” player by former Brighton and Chelsea manager Graham Potter on Sky Sports in February 2021.
Italian journalist Galetti has claimed Chelsea are willing to pay an extra £10 million in add-ons for the midfielder, but Brighton want £20 million.
And that is the problem at the moment.
What should Chelsea do about Moises Caicedo?
In our opinion, Chelsea should pay the £20 million in add-ons that Brighton and Hove Albion are demanding for Moises Caicedo.

If Chelsea have already decided to pay an initial £80 million for the 21-year-old, then the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners should cough up the extra £20 million needed to complete the deal in the summer transfer window.
After all, if the Blues eventually have to pay the £20 million in the coming years, then it would mean that Caicedo would have done well at Stamford Bridge.
And surely that is exactly what Chelsea want from the youngster, don’t they?
