Tottenham handed Eric Dier a new deal today – and Danny Rose could follow suit.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told Sky Sports that another player could sign a new contract with the club this week, with ESPN claiming it’s Danny Rose.
Spurs announced earlier today that Eric Dier has signed a new contract to stay with the club, following on from Christian Eriksen’s extension last week.

Pochettino now has a strong core locked up for years to come, with reports even suggesting that more players could follow in signing a new contract.
The London Evening Standard report that Dele Alli is in line for a new deal, whilst The Mirror claimed over the weekend that winger Erik Lamela is in talks to extend his stay with the club.

After securing the deal for Dier earlier today, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to Sky Sports, and revealed that there could be more contract news coming by the end of the week.
“In the next few days maybe there will be another player with the same news as Eric and Christian,” said Pochettino. “It’s important for the club, not just me,” he added.
Alli or Lamela could well be the player in question, but ESPN report that it’s actually left back Danny Rose who could be putting pen-to-paper on a new contract.

Rose, 26, has become one of the top left backs in the Premier League since Pochettino’s appointment in 2014, and is now England’s first-choice left back after two superb seasons.
Currently injured and set to miss Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Monaco, Rose is a key player for Spurs, and certainly deserves to earn a new contract with a pay rise based on his displays under Pochettino, with talks potentially being finalised this week.
