Tottenham attacker Christian Eriksen played 87 minutes at Anfield.

Tottenham Hotspur ace Christian Eriksen might have worn down the patience of supporters in defeat to Anfield.
The Dane failed to create a chance in a wretched display where he was pretty anonymous. He touched the ball just 38 times and completed less than 60 per cent of his passes.
Picking Eriksen was a controversial choice from Mauricio Pochettino. Keeping him on was even more controversial decision.
Eriksen’s listless display made his substitution inevitable. It was just a surprise Pochettino did not take him off earlier.
Tottenham are blessed with options. So it was bizarre that Pochettino stuck with one which wasn’t working.
Dele Alli wasn’t having a good game either, and he lasted the whole game.
Giovani Lo Celso came on for Christian Eriksen on 87 minutes, and didn’t have enough time to make any sort of real impact.
Managers can make mistakes with wrong team selections, it happens all the time. But waiting too long to rectify them is a sign of either poor judgement or stubbornness.
Keeping Eriksen on was both poor judgement, and Pochettino being stubborn.
Eriksen needs a spell out of the side, but Pochettino did the Dane no favours by keeping him on.
