Chelsea are reportedly determined to bring Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo to Stamford Bridge.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has told GiveMeSport that Chelsea have had a bid of £60 million for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo rejected already in the summer transfer window.

However, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are not giving up on the prospect of signing the Ecuador international midfielder, who, according to former Liverpool star John Barnes, is a “fantastic” player.

Galetti has claimed that Chelsea plan to make a second offer for the 21-year-old.

New Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino personally wants the youngster in his squad for next season and beyond, according to the reporter.

Chelsea to go back for Brighton and Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo

Galletti said: “Chelsea are still pushing to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton. Pochettino has asked for him, as told weeks ago, and the Ecuadorian player is a priority for him.

“And now Chelsea are set to make a new second bid for the midfielder after having a £60 million offer rejected.”

Could a summer transfer happen?

In our opinion, Chelsea could be able to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.

That the Blues are planning a second offer shows that they are really keen on the 21-year-old.

And if new Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino personally wants him at the club, then the London outfit’s hierarchy will do their utmost to get a deal done.

The Times have claimed that Manchester United are keen on Caicedo as well, adding that Brighton want £80 million for him.

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are willing to pay £80 million for the midfielder.
