Tottenham have not decided to bring their loan players back to help prepare for the biggest game in the club’s recent history.

Tottenham Hotspur are busy preparing for this weekend’s Champions League final.

It is a match the club previously only dreamed about. Now it is a nearing reality.

Three players who will not be involved in the preparations are loaned out trio Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Josh Onomah, despite their respective loan spells having ended. Football London report all three have been sent on their holidays.

This may not come as a surprise, but it’s also a damning sign for the three players on where they stand in Mauricio Pochettino’s mind.

N’Koudou is as good as gone this summer if Spurs can find a buyer, while Carter-Vickers has not shown enough out on loan to convince that he is worthy of stepping up.

The same can be said of Josh Onomah, but in his case in particular, surely Spurs should be making more effort?

Onomah was an England under-20 World Cup winner two summers ago.

Getting the chance to be involved in the build up and training sessions for such a big game could have been an inspirational moment for his career.

Youngsters Alfie Whiteman, Oliver Skipp and George Marsh are among the academy players to be involved in first team training, even though they face little prospect of featuring in Madrid.

Of course if Mauricio Pochettino was really bothered about Carter-Vickers, Onomah or N’Koudou, he would have invited them back to play a role in the team’s preparations.

Their absence is a bleak sign that the Argentine has little hope for the trio being a part of his plans in the future.
