Mauricio Pochettino thinks Harry Kane could emulate Francesco Totti at Tottenham Hotspur.
Mauricio Pochettino has given Real Madrid a timely reminder of Harry Kane’s loyalty to Tottenham Hotspur by comparing him to Roma legend Francesco Totti.
Spurs face the Spanish giants in the Champions League this evening, with Los Blancos having been credited with an interest in the in-form England striker by The Guardian.
Pochettino has revealed how Totti’s emotional farewell to Roma, whom he served for 25 years, at the end of last season resonated with Kane and has tipped the Spurs hero to follow in Totti’s footsteps.

“Harry was so emotional when he saw the last game of Totti, who had only played at one club,” Pochettino is quoted by The Guardian as saying.
“He was very emotional and what I say is that maybe Harry can have the same career as Totti. When he saw Totti’s farewell at Roma, that creates extra motivation.
“I hope he stays with us for a long time because he has great quality. He enjoys Tottenham and he probably identifies with the club more because he is from the academy.”
Kane has elevated himself into the world-class bracket with a run of 15 goals in 11 games for club and country, form which has seen links to Real Madrid resurface.
Madrid have previously raided Tottenham for prised assets Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, but they might find it more difficult to lure Kane from his boyhood club.
