Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur have three ‘superstars’ in their ranks, while speaking to the Daily Mail.
The former Tottenham boss was asked how he feels about managing such high profile players at PSG, including the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
But Pochettino insists that being in charge of high quality players is nothing new to him.
And the Tottenham boss has had big praise for Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane and Heung Min Son in his latest interview.
“It’s normal that people need to find things to doubt you,’ Pochettino said. “To find something that is maybe wrong in our way of coaching, of working or managing people.
“But we worked with superstars at Tottenham. We were dealing every day with the captain of France who lifted the World Cup. We were dealing every day with Harry Kane, Heung-min Son.
“Now, we’re here at Paris Saint-Germain with players like Neymar, Mbappe, Marco Verratti, Keylor Navas, plenty of talented players, big characters. The most important thing is to be natural, genuine and spontaneous in the way we manage them.”
To see both Son and Kane named as ‘superstars’ for Tottenham by Pochettino is no surprise.

The attacking pair are widely regarded as Tottenham’s two finest players, and are generally considered world-class by most observers.
Lloris is arguably a more controversial choice, but his achievements in the game are now vast – following his World Cup win.
It is also worth noting that Pochettino always spoke very highly of Lloris during his time at Tottenham.
The pair had a great relationship, with Pochettino naming Lloris as his captain during his time in charge.
The Sun now say that PSG want to sign the experienced French stopper in the summer, but whether Tottenham will be open to selling their number one remains to be seen.
