Mauricio Pochettino will have to guard his side against any complacency, however, as Swansea will travel to the capital confident after securing their first win since the opening day of the season last weekend.

It was not just any old win, either; Bob Bradley’s side overturned a 4-3 deficit with two very late goals to claim a dramatic 5-4 win over Crystal Palace which lifted them off the foot of the table.
The hosts could be boosted by the return of Toby Alderweireld, with Mauricio Pochettino telling the club’s official website that the Belgian defender has resumed training.

“He was involved during the week in the training sessions,” the manager said.
“We are very happy with his evolution but it’s still a small thing that we are not sure about and we need to assess tomorrow if he can be available. His evolution is very good, now he’s been involved in training during the week but still he feels that it’s not 100 per cent – we’ll see tomorrow.”
The presence of Alderweireld alongside his compatriot Jan Vertonghen – who joined Harry Kane in signing a new deal this week – would be a huge boost for Spurs as they look to get their title challenge back on track.

Erik Lamela and Ben Davies will both be out for Tottenham with hip and ankle injuries respectively, but Pochettino has no other concerns on the fitness front.
Swansea’s only absentee will be midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng, who has a broken toe. Gylfi Sigurdsson will be determined to prove a point against his former club, while Fernando Llorente’s late double last time out should give the Spaniard some confidence up front.

Bob Bradley told the club’s website that this match represents the start of a “critical period” for his side, and it is undeniable that the festive fixtures will have a big say in Swansea’s fate this season.
Following Saturday’s trip to North London, the Swans face Sunderland, West Brom, Middlesbrough, West Ham and Bournemouth in December, the majority of whom are also involved in the battle at the wrong end of the table.
