Mark Warburton’s side travel to McDiarmid Park on Wednesday evening looking to strengthen their grip on second place.
With Celtic looking like they will seal their sixth league title in a row with ease, the battle is now on to finish second in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers are currently in pole position to do so ahead of Aberdeen, with Mark Warburton’s side having recovered from some early season issues – both on and off the pitch – to firmly establish themselves at the right end of the table in their first season back in the top flight.
St Johnstone go into the match in fifth, almost certainly too far back to launch their own European challenge but with enough about them to comfortably stave off relegation.

The Key Battle – Steven Anderson vs Martyn Waghorn
Waghorn’s brace helped Rangers on their way to a 2-1 win at Hamilton before Christmas, and the attacker will be looking to add to his tally on Wednesday.
St Johnstone have the best defensive record outside the top three, however, so Anderson and his teammates will not make it easy for the visitors.

Last Meeting:
The points were shared from October’s meeting between these two sides at Ibrox, with Joe Garner’s equaliser cancelling out Blair Alston’s opener.
The Saints have not beaten Rangers in a league fixture since 2010, when they ran out 4-1 winners at McDiarmid Park.
