QPR are in need of a win as they welcome mid-table Villa to Loftus Road for this Sunday lunchtime Championship clash.
Ian Holloway’s return to QPR has not quite provided the boost that the club’s supporters hoped it might have.
The experienced boss started his latest tenure in West London with a fine 2-1 win over Norwich, but four straight defeats since – including a 1-0 reverse at bottom club Rotherham last weekend – have left the Hoops just three points above the bottom three.
Villa’s 1-0 defeat at Norwich in midweek was their second loss under Steve Bruce, with the club currently lacking the consistency to challenge at the top end of the Championship.

QPR’s talented Dutchman hit double figures in his debut season in English football last time around, but has just four goals to his name this season and has not found the net since September – the R’s need Chery to find form if they are to climb the table.
Looking to keep him quiet on Sunday will be Jedinak, who has impressed Villa supporters with his consistently solid displays in front of the back four since his summer arrival from Crystal Palace.
