The Toffees are looking to get back to winning ways against Jose Mourinho’s side – here is the lowdown on Sunday’s clash
Everton’s flying start to the season seems a long time ago. They may still be seventh in the Premier League, but the Toffees have won just once in eight league games and were defeated on Ronald Koeman’s return to Southampton last weekend.
Home supporters would love nothing more than to return to form against Manchester United, and there is the added incentive of leapfrogging Jose Mourinho’s men in the table with three points on Sunday.
United looked strong in midweek as they dumped West Ham out of the EFL Cup but familiar problems remain in the league; Mourinho has picked up less points from his first 13 league games than David Moyes managed three seasons ago.

The Key Battle – Ashley Williams vs Zlatan Ibrahimovic
The Swedish talisman has come back into form in recent weeks, and notched a brace in the midweek cup win to take his tally to 11 for the season.
Williams has been a solid addition to the Everton backline but will not have faced many opponents as gifted as Ibrahimovic; the Wales captain will relish the challenge and hope to lead his side to a clean sheet.

Last Meeting:
Last season’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley was the last time these two sides faced each other, and it ended in heartbreak for the Toffees.
Anthony Martial’s injury time winner sealed a 2-1 victory which sent United through to the final and all but ended Roberto Martinez’s chances of staying on in the Everton dugout.
