HITC Sport understands Blackpool boss Terry McPhillips is a contender for the Scunthorpe and Plymouth jobs.

Blackpool boss Terry McPhillips is under consideration for the vacant manager’s jobs at League One rivals Scunthorpe and Plymouth, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
McPhillips has enjoyed his first season in charge of Blackpool after replacing Gary Bowyer last August just after the new League One season had started.
The former Blackburn coach took over on an interim basis initially before landing the job permanently in September after an impressive run of form.
McPhillips, who is on a 12-month rolling contract at Bloomfield Road, has guided Blackpool to 10th spot in League despite all the off-the-field distractions surrounding the club.

McPhillips’ work at Blackpool has not gone unnoticed among rival clubs with Scunthorpe and Plymouth both keeping tabs on his situation as they look for new managers.
McPhillips has impressed his suitors with his ability to work on a small budget and help develop young players at Blackpool.
Scunthorpe sacked manager Stuart McCall in March and placed Andy Dawson in charge for the rest of the season as they searched for a new boss.
Plymouth are beginning their hunt for a new boss after axing Derek Adams on Sunday just 24 hours after their 5-1 thumping at Accrington.
Scunthorpe and Plymouth are both battling to avoid relegation from League One on the final day of the season with the two strugglers set to face each other in a final day shoot-out at Home Park.
