Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are excited by the prospect of signing Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian has been linked to the Gunners quite a lot in recent months but it looks like the link is genuine now.
According to Sport in Spain, Arsenal are in advanced negotiations to sign the Barcelona playmaker, who joined the Camp Nou club from Liverpool for £142 million in January of 2018.
One area where Mikel Arteta badly needs strengthening is creativity, as the Spaniard has said himself in recent weeks.
And it looks like Coutinho to North London is genuinely on the table now.
Here’s how Arsenal fans reacted to the update on Twitter:
In all probability, this would be an initial loan, even though the Blaugrana would surely prefer to sell.
It’s probably a loan because things are tight at Arsenal financially, hence why they’re also on the verge of signing Willian, who’s available for free.
Bosmans and loans are the order of the day for Arteta, Edu and Raul Sanllehi at the Emirates Stadium, but Coutinho is one hell of a loan, if it comes off.
