Jesse Marsch has posted on Instagram that his Leeds United players have had a ‘great session to start the week’ in Australia.

The Yorkshire outfit are down under for their pre-season tour and Marsch added on social media that it was a ‘pleasure’ to meet some Leeds fans in Australia.

Leeds will take on local side Brisbane Roar on Thursday, before facing off against fellow Premier League opposition in Aston Villa this Sunday.

Their pre-season tour of Australia will conclude with another game against a Premier League side, this time it’s Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace.

Nonetheless, this is what the Leeds boss posted on social media from Australia, as he also gave a nod to the supporters.

WHAT WILL BE THE AIM FOR LEEDS NEXT SEASON?

Well, the minimum aim will be to stay away from the relegation zone because all season long last time out, they were hovering above the bottom three.

There were occasions towards the back end of last season when they dropped into that danger zone and they don’t want to experience that again.

One of the biggest issues both Marcelo Bielsa and Marsch faced was injury after injury, with the back-up options being players with very little experience or the youngsters.

Now, a lot of that was down to the fact that Bielsa liked to work with a small squad, but all of that is changing this summer, with the Whites bulking up their squad.

One of the biggest hurdles everyone associated with the club will have to overcome is going again without their star man, Kalvin Phillips, who was sold to Manchester City this summer.
