West Ham United are favouring a move for AFC Fiorentina star Nikola Milenkovic over Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.
According to Sky Sports News, the Irons are keen to sign the French international from their London rivals. However, a deal is proving hard to complete for West Ham.
Chelsea are looking for £25m for Zouma, a fee that the Hammers aren’t willing to match.
The club’s financial situation means that Milenkovic is proving to be a better option for David Moyes’ side.
Whilst the Blues defender was part of the Chelsea side that won the UEFA Champions League last season, Milenkovic is available this summer at a much cheaper fee.
Indeed, with West Ham needing a new centre-back this summer, the Serbian international could well join the club this month.
The Irons want reinforcements ahead of their UEFA Europa League group stage journey. And Milenkovic would be a welcome addition this summer should West Ham get a deal done.

And on social media, supporters are keen for the club to sign Milenkovic over Zouma. The Fiorentina star will be available for cheap with his contract expiring next year.
Moreover, Milenkovic is three years younger than Zouma and could be a resealable asset in the future should he develop in the Premier League.
