Leeds United have been linked with a move for Daniel James this summer.

According to The Daily Star, the Whites want to sign the former Swansea City winger on loan.

Leeds almost brought the 22-year-old to Elland Road in the winter of 2019, but the transfer collapsed at the last minute – even after he arrived at Thorp Arch.

The Wales international ultimately joined Manchester United in a £15 million deal and suffice to say some fans of the Old Trafford club are happy enough to see him move, though others argue it’s better to keep him.

Here’s how they’re reacting to the prospect of losing the jet-heeled star to Leeds:

Marcelo Bielsa is clearly a really big fan of the player, as witnessed during the documentary about their 2018-19 campaign.

Leeds’ Director of Football Victor Orta was literally in tears upon discovering that he wouldn’t be able to sign James for Bielsa during that debacle.

But if these rumours are true, both the Argentine and Orta haven’t forgotten about him and it’ll be fascinating to see if they can get him on this occasion, though it does hinge on whether their rivals can sign Jadon Sancho or Ivan Perisic.

Without an arrival, a departure for James is unlikely.
