Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Everton have joined the race for Dwight McNeil.
The Times have reported that Everton are chasing the £25 million Burnley player, who is also wanted by Aston Villa.
Both clubs have added attacking talent to their flanks this summer but on a different scale.
Those in the Midlands boardroom broke their club transfer record to sign Emiliano Buendia, whilst those on Merseyside snapped up Andros Townsend on a free transfer.
Villa supporters have given their take on those at Goodison Park joining the race for McNeil.
McNeil can play on either flank, he is a brilliant crosser of the ball, he is direct, he has the dribbling ability to beat several men and is strong from a defensive aspect.
Some Villa fans have questioned whether they want the Englishman on board, whilst others asked how many wide players Everton need.
Rafa Benitez is the man steering the Toffees ship now, and just like those from B6, European football is on the wishlist for the new season.
Villa have progressed hugely under Dean Smith, and with Jack Grealish at the helm and possibly more summer signings, then they might just surge forward once more next season.
It’s a different mood for Everton fans because Benitez wasn’t exactly a popular appointment, plus they stagnated once again last season.
