West Brom fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours that Aston Villa are interested in signing Matheus Pereira.
Over the weekend, the 24-year-old was in action at Villa Park, as he produced a potential Man of the Match display as Dean Smith’s men recorded a 2-2 draw against the Baggies.
With Villa lacking that creative spark without their injured star Jack Grealish, come next season, if Villa can secure Pereira’s services then they would have another player capable of producing those out-of-your-seats moments.
That was proven on Sunday when he did Douglas Luiz like a kipper near the corner flag.
The Athletic claim that Villa were left impressed by the left-footed technician on Sunday, and come the summer, they may well try to buy him.
Of course, Villa, and any other interested parties, hold an obvious advantage, and that’s West Brom getting relegated.
More than likely, they may well head back down to the Championship, and if that happens, then it will be easier to secure Pereira’s services.
But West Brom fans have made it quite clear that they don’t want their star man leaving for their Midlands rivals:
