‘Please no’: Some PL fans react to rumours they are keen on £60k-a-week Tottenham player

West Brom fans on Twitter have provided a mixed reaction to the rumours that they are looking at the possibility of signing Tottenham defender Danny Rose.

The England international hasn’t played for Spurs this season after Jose Mourinho opted to leave him out of his 25-man Premier League squad.

But it seems, relegation-threatened Albion could be looking to bring him to the Hawthorns this month, as reported by Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.

Given that the Tottenham academy product hasn’t kicked a ball since being on-loan at Newcastle during the second half of last season, it would be a big risk for those struggling in the Midlands to sign him up.

There are some Albion supporters who would welcome the 60k-a-week player [Spotrac] with open arms, but others made it clear that they simply aren’t interested.

The Tottenham documentary, All or Nothing, didn’t exactly showcase Rose in a good light and that image could be off-putting for some.

But then again, he was England’s first-choice left-back at one stage and West Brom need characters, such as Rose if they are to survive under Sam Allardyce this term.
