‘Please no’: Some fans react to news coming out ahead of Everton’s clash with Tottenham

Everton supporters are fretting at the thought of being without James Rodriguez ahead of their FA Cup showdown with Tottenham tonight.

Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Everton’s playmaker will ‘face a late fitness test’ in order to determine whether or not he’ll play against Tottenham, as posted by the club’s official Twitter account.

A selection of Everton supporters are hopeful that Rodriguez is fit, so they can boost their chances of putting a trophy in their cabinet this season.

Even if Rodriguez misses out tonight, the Goodison Park faithful are hoping that he isn’t injured again and it doesn’t affect him for the long-term.

The Toffees are pushing for a Champions League place this term and they need their troops fit if they are to fire their way to a top-four finish.

Ancelotti was brought in to deliver that trophy for the Merseyside club and get the club back into Europe.

Whilst Rodriguez has had injury problems this season, he has been a key player for the club and he has brought that much-needed magic many thought he still had in his left foot.

Whether or not he can showcase that against Jose Mourinho’s side tonight, remains to be seen.
