Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter, and they’re panicking after reading what’s being reported in The Telegraph.

After Turkey was placed on the United Kingdom’s red list, the Champions League final may no longer be held in Istanbul due to COVID-19 restrictions.

As a result, it could now take place at Villa Park, or Tottenham’s stadium.

Now, you can understand why the Tottenham fans are worried about this news.

It would give Chelsea – Tottenham’s London rivals – eternal bragging rights if they were to win the Champions League on Spurs territory.

Tottenham supporters already have to deal with Arsenal fans reminding them that the Gunners won the league at White Hart Lane.

In that respect, if they started getting an earful from Chelsea fans too, it would be a nightmare for them to deal with.

Daniel Levy would surely land Tottenham a bit of cash if he got Tottenham to host the showpiece event between Chelsea and Manchester City.

However, is a bit of money worth Tottenham fans having to suffer, and listen to taunting chants in fixtures against Chelsea for years to come?

If you were to listen to the Spurs fans below, they’d say it isn’t worth it.

Worryingly, The Telegraph add that there may not be enough time to get Villa Park up to the standard required to host such an event.

On the contrary, Tottenham’s stadium is a state-of-the-art facility, which would be able to host the Champions League final with ease.

After Spurs annoyed fans by entering the Super League, and then decided to charge £60 a ticket for the upcoming game against Villa, this is just another source of frustration for the north London club’s fanbase.

Let’s see what they’ve been saying about The Telegraph‘s news…
