Jose Enrique has said on Twitter that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should bring Darwin Nunez to Anfield and stop the striker from potentially going to Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.
The former Liverpool star has said that the Reds cannot afford to let their bitter rivals Manchester United sign Benfica striker Nunez ahead of them.
Enrique has pointed out that Manchester City and Chelsea both will be stronger next season, and has urged Liverpool to sign Nunez to stay competitive.

The former Liverpool star made the comments in response to a report in The Times claiming that although the Reds are keen on signing Nunez, they are not going to do so ‘at any cost’.
Benfica want £68 million as transfer fee for the Uruguay international striker, according to The London Evening Standard.

The Independent have reported that Manchester United are interested in Nunez, who scored 26 goals and gave four assists in the Portuguese league and scored six goals in the Champions League this past season.
The report has stated that although the 22-year-old striker prefers a move to Liverpool, his camp are open to listening to what United have to offer.
