Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting to reports claiming that PSG have finally reached an agreement with the club over a loan deal involving Dele Alli.

This has been one of the longest-running sagas of the window, and it seems as though the two clubs have finally come to an agreement, with La Parisien reporting that a deal has been agreed.

However, as is always the case in these situations, there is a catch.

Indeed, Tottenham won’t let Alli go until they’ve found a replacement, and at the moment, it doesn’t seem as though Spurs are close on anything on that front.

There have been links to German midfielder Florian Neuhaus, but we’ve not heard anything about bids going in or personal terms being agreed there.

As you can imagine, this news brought about a mixed reaction from the Tottenham fanbase.

Some fans were hoping that Levy can sort out a deal for Alli to go to PSG, while another fan who wanted Alli to go was worried about Tottenham fumbling a deal.

Another section of the fanbase was left baffled as to why Spurs need a replacement for Alli, and we can see their point, after all, the England international has started just one league game all season for Spurs.

A third section of supporters seemed to be resigned to the idea that a deal wouldn’t be done as they don’t believe that Tottenham will be signing a replacement this month.

Whether or not Alli ends up at PSG before next week’s deadline remains to be seen, but the fact that the two clubs have reached an agreement is a big breakthrough.
