Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are absolutely keen on the idea of signing Arkadiusz Milik.
According to The Express, Spurs are interested in bringing the linked-away Napoli marksman to North London.
Tottenham need a top-drawer alternative to Harry Kane and with Troy Parrott being loaned to Millwall, signing another number nine looks guaranteed.
The report claims that the Lilywhites will have to shell out £26 million for the Polish striker.
Here’s how some fans of the club are reacting on social media:
They might be excited but, unfortunately, this isn’t credible in any way, shape or form.
This is Daniel Levy we’re talking about and there’s just no chance that the Tottenham chairman is going to spend £26 million on a player who’ll be available to sign on a pre-contract agreement from January, if he doesn’t leave Naples before then.
Remember, Spurs took out a £200 million loan earlier in the summer and any business they’ve done so far has been frugal and intelligent.
There’s nothing economic about spending that sort of money on Milik and therefore it’s so unlikely that he’ll be Kane’s back-up next season.
