Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are excited by the prospect of seeing Gareth Bale back in North London.
It’s that time of the year again when the Spurs legend gets linked with a return.
According to Quatro, the Real Madrid outcast is open to the idea of re-signing for Tottenham, whom he left back in 2013.
Bale looks finished in Madrid under Zinedine Zidane, who didn’t include him in the Champions League squad for the defeat by Manchester City earlier this month.
The Wales international also cut a subdued figure during Real’s recent title celebrations, perhaps underlining his unhappiness in the Spanish capital.
Here’s how Tottenham fans reacted to this latest rumour on Twitter:
With a £600,000-a-week pay packet, there’s just no way chairman Daniel Levy can afford to bring him back.
Even if Bale agrees to a 75 percent wage cut, that’s still a whopping £150,000 per week and would still make him one of the club’s highest-paid players.
As exciting as it is, this one isn’t going to materialise.
