Liverpool have long been linked with Sander Berge – and the rumours aren’t going anywhere now.
The Reds looked into a deal last season according to The Mirror, when Berge was starring for Belgian side Genk.
Genk’s Dimitri De Conde confirmed that Liverpool wanted Berge, and the midfielder admitted that it was a ‘dream’ to play at Anfield regularly.
Sheffield United ended up signing Berge for £22million, and he has shown flashes of his quality during his time at Bramall Lane.
Currently out injured, Berge is likely to be in demand this summer when the Blades go down, with Eurosport claiming that Liverpool are back in for him again.
The Sheffield Star now note that United want a huge £35million for Berge, a staggering £13million profit despite making just 24 Premier League starts.

Liverpool fans have been taking to Twitter to react to these claims, stating that £35million is far too much for a player of Berge’s ability.
Some begged the Reds not to pay that kind of money because alternatives can be found for cheaper, whilst suggesting that United would be lucky to get their money back, never mind demand a profit.
