Some Newcastle United fans have responded to Mehrdad Ghodoussi’s late-night post on Twitter after the defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Newcastle lose to Arsenal

Newcastle suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League and remain in danger of getting relegated.

This time it was against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta’s side won the game in North London 2-0 on Saturday.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli scored the goals for Arsenal.

Mehrdad Ghodoussi’s message to Newcastle fans

Newcastle part-owner Ghodoussi took to Twitter late last night to send a message to the Newcastle fans.

He has thanked the Newcastle fans who turned up at the Emirates Stadium despite the travel issues due to bad weather in England.

Ghodoussi is a Partner at PCP Capital Partners and is the husband of Amanda Staveley.

As you can see from the tweets below, Newcastle fans have responded to Ghodoussi’s post.

Some have urged him to stay at the club even if the team get relegated.

Others have thanked him for his message, but seem sceptical about surviving the drop.

Newcastle are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with six points from 13 matches.
