Liverpool are allegedly keen on signing the Lazio man.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Lazio hitman Ciro Immobile, according to a report from Italian media outlet Il Messaggero, and some Reds fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
The Merseyside outfit currently sit pretty at the top of the Premier League table, four points clear of second placed Manchester City, and many fans and pundits alike are tipping them to end their 29-year wait for a top flight title.
The 28-year-old was on fire last season, scoring 40 goals in 46 appearances for Lazio, and although he hasn’t been quite as prolific this term, he has still managed to notch up 13 goals in 24 outings.
The Italy international has actually played under Klopp before, during his time with Borussia Dortmund, and he never really impressed in the famous yellow and black strip.
He has vastly improved since he joined Lazio, however, and would surely help add even more potency to Liverpool’s attack.
