Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are responding to Dinos Mavropanos’s tweet.

The on-loan Gunners defender was on the winning side yesterday as Stuttgart beat Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.

But Mavropanos didn’t get to experience all of it after being taken off at half-time.

The Greek centre-back, who stands at 6’4, has had his injury problems in recent years – including this season – but he was also booked in the first half, meaning his withdrawal was probably linked to tactical reasons.

Despite only having seven Premier League appearances under his belt for Arsenal, the 22-year-old is a popular figure among fans of the North London club.

And here’s how some of them responded to his post-match tweet after the Bremen victory.

Does Mavropanos have a future at Arsenal? Potentially, but it’ll be very difficult.

Mikel Arteta, whose side lost 2-0 at Tottenham on Sunday, has an abundance of central defenders in his squad right now – William Saliba, Pablo Mari, Rob Holding, Calum Chambers, Shkodran Mustafi and David Luiz to name but a few.

And the truth is that if Mavropanos does make it in North London, he’s going to have to fight extremely hard.

The fact that Arteta loaned him out is evidence that the Spaniard prefers other players right now, so already the big man may be fighting a losing battle.
