Leeds United fans are seriously excited by reports in Italy suggesting that they are very close to agreeing a deal for Rodrigo De Paul.
Italian newspaper La Repubblica report that De Paul is closing in on a switch to Leeds, after choosing them as the club that he wants to join.
De Paul would be a hugely eye catching addition to Leeds’ squad if Marcelo Bielsa’s side could pull it off.
And Leeds fans are understandably thrilled by the latest update.
Leeds supporters may need to be slightly cautious with their optimism, however.
While Italian sources seem to think that the deal is close to completion, the English press are far less certain.
The Telegraph have suggested that Leeds may not be finding negotiations for the Udinese midfielder simple, and they have now reportedly started looking for alternative targets.
It leaves Leeds supporters rather in the dark over whether De Paul’s future lies, and this transfer saga could be one which rumbles on for a while longer yet.
