Tottenham Hotspur fans might have to wait another few weeks before finding out who their next manager is going to be.
Daniel Levy fired Jose Mourinho last month and since then, Ryan Mason has been named as Spurs caretaker manager.
But being 29, the former Tottenham midfielder has virtually no chance of earning the role on a long-term basis.
Quite a few big names like Brendan Rodgers, Erik Ten Hag and Antonio Conte have been linked to becoming Spurs’ new head coach.
But according to The Athletic’s journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke, an announcement may not be made until late May or early June, with Steve Hitchen narrowing his search.

Another more surprising name on Hitchens’s reported shortlist is Fulham boss Scott Parker.
The Londoner was also once on Spurs’ books as a player but Eurosport reported on Tuesday that Tottenham chairman Levy is unconvinced by Parker.
And that’ll delight some Lilywhites fans because although he was popular as a player, he hasn’t got anywhere near as much clout as manager.
And when your last appointment was Jose Mourinho, well Levy has very much set a precedent, it has to be said.
