Jeff Hendrick has presumably put a smile on the face of some Newcastle fans after commenting on the club’s message to Fabricio Coloccini.
What did Jeff Hendrick write?
Well, after Newcastle commemorated the anniversary of Coloccini’s arrival on Tyneside, the £40,000-a-week midfielder left a comment.
Along with a few laughing emojis, Hendrick wrote: ‘Ask him can he lower my rent please’.
We wonder what Coloccini is like as a landlord!
Is he the type to ignore your calls when the boiler has broken, or is he more likely to be an accommodating landlord who makes life easy?
Judging by his selfless attitude as captain out on the pitch while wearing black and white, we’re going to go with the latter.
Steve Bruce needs his own Fabricio Coloccini

The Argentine made a huge 275 appearances for Newcastle across eight years at St James’ Park.
Coloccini always led by example, and was a rock at the back who often made his centre-back partner look better than they were.
Nowadays, Steve Bruce has the likes of Federico Fernandez, Ciaran Clark and Jamaal Lascelles at his disposal, who don’t come close to Coloccini.

Bruce needs a colossal leader at the back, who can replicate what the South American offered – he’s never been replaced since leaving in 2016.
It’s easier said than done, but with all the data that comes with modern day recruitment, Newcastle should definitely sit down and try to find their Coloccini 2.0.
