Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has raved about Ben White on the club’s official website following the match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at the weekend.
Arteta has said that he was impressed by the performance produced by White for Arsenal against Chelsea in the London derby on Sunday.
The Gunners won the Premier League game 1-0.
Brazilian central defender Gabriel scored the only goal of the match in the second half.
White played at right-back, like he has been doing this season despite being a central defender by trade.
And Arteta has spoken highly of the former Leeds United loanee, saying that the £93,000-a-week (SalarySport) England international centre-back is always ready to play.

Arteta said about White: “Really happy with him.
“I think he’s playing in different positions, and he’s accommodated himself in a great way to the full-back position.
“His understanding with the players around him is top, and I really like him.
“He always wants to be there, he trains every single day. He plays under any circumstance. I love the boy.”

England do have issues at right-back at the moment, and White is a viable option there now.
And we know that the former Leeds loanee is a brilliant centre-back, so he could come in there as well if need be for England.
