Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of James Balagizi in the FA Youth Cup on Friday evening.
The Liverpool Under-18 side got the better of their Leicester City counterparts in the last 16 of the FA Cup Youth Cup away from home.
The Merseyside club won the match 5-1 to book their place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Balagizi was the star of the show, as 17-year-old attacking midfielder scored a hat-trick.
The teenager, who plays as a number 10, opened the scoring in the sixth minute when he received a pass from Dominic Corness and went on a run before finishing it off into the bottom corner.
The youngster added to his tally in the 86th minute and completed his hat-trick when he latched onto Melkamu Frauendorf’s pass and slotted the home after rounding the goalkeeper.
Balagizi has yet to turn out for the Liverpool senior side, but if he continues to play like he did against Leicester and bangs in the goals, then he would get his chance.
