Alexandru Maxim is allegedly willing to wait until the summer to decide his future amid links to Leeds.
The agent of Stuttgart playmaker Alexandru Maxim has told Stuttgarter Nachrichter that Leeds United are indeed interested his client – but the player is thought to prefer waiting until the summer.
Maxim, 26, joined Stuttgart from Pandurii Targu Jiu in January 2013, and has been a key player for the German side ever since that move.

The playmaker has hit 13 goals in 107 league games for Stuttgart, whilst he has also notched five assists this season having been an important player for Hannes Wolf’s side.
Now though, speculation surrounds Maxim’s future at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, with Stuttgarter Nachrichter reporting earlier this week that Leeds United had made contact over a deal to sign Maxim.

Maxim was a target for Leeds boss Garry Monk during his time at Swansea City, with his agent telling BBC Sport in the summer of 2015 that monk wanted to lure him to the Liberty Stadium.
Factor in that he worked alongside Monk’s assistant Pep Clotet at Espanyol, and it’s clear why Leeds would be keen to add Maxim – and his agent has again spoken about his client’s future
Speaking to Stuttgarter Nachrichter, agent Herbert Briem has admitted that the rumours of Leeds’ interest are true, but the player is ‘relaxed’ about the situation, and the player is believed to prefer waiting until the end of the season to decide his future, rather than make a move this month.
A talented attacking midfielder, the Romanian would bring some added flair to the Leeds side along with the likes of Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe, and as a long-term target, Monk and Clotet would no doubt love to land him – but they may have to wait until the summer to get their man.
