Leeds United’s Illan Meslier has been drawing praise from Fulham fans on social media after his impressive performance at Craven Cottage.
Marcelo Bielsa’s number one goalkeeper was in fine fettle against the London club and he made a string of fantastic saves that helped Leeds secure their first win in the capital since December 2017.
Meslier’s finest moment was undoubtedly his point-blank stop from Josh Maja in the first-half, while his effort to get down to Andre-Frank Anguissa’s long-range effort also deserves a mention.
Leeds fans will have been impressed by what they saw, but perhaps surprisingly, Fulham supporters on social media were also quick to praise him for his performance.
The goalkeeper deserves all the plaudits he’s getting, and you have to be a special kind of player to draw praise from the opposition fanbase.
Leeds certainly have a lot to thank Meslier for.
