Sheffield United youngster Daniel Jebbison claimed on Instagram that Carney Chukwuemeka is playing on ‘beginner’ mode after Aston Villa’s U23’s smoked Stoke 8-0 on Monday night.

The 17-year-old supplied two assists and scored two goals during the game, as Villa ran riot against the Stoke youngsters in Premier League 2.

Chukwuemeka has already earned Premier League minutes this season and even started Villa’s 1-1 home draw against Brentford last month.

Villa’s youth is well and truly thriving, at this moment in time, and they could argue that they have some of the best youngsters coming through the ranks in England.

Chukwuemeka is the younger brother of, Caleb, who is also on Villa’s books, but it could be argued that the young gun isn’t just the best in the family, but the best in the academy.

When he took to Instagram yesterday to celebrate the win, several players posted messages in the comments section.

Villa captain Tyrone Mings wrote: “Love it bro.” Whilst Liverpool youngster James Balagizi joked and wrote: “Fake.”

Jebbison, who is another big talent on Sheffield United’s books, but currently on-loan at Burton, he simply commented: “Guys playing on beginner difficulty.”

Dean Smith has dipped into the transfer market and been backed by the club’s owners in a strong fashion since their promotion.

But he has also added and provided the chance to play the youth, as has been proven by the minutes Chukwuemeka has played and the rise of someone like Cameron Archer.

However, during the next two transfer windows – winter and summer – it will be interesting to see how many moves the club make now because they have the academy players that can now push the first-team stars, rather than dipping into the market.
