Chris Sutton has paid tribute to Tom Rogic for his latest performance in a Celtic shirt.

The Australia international helped Celtic to a 3-1 Boxing Day victory away to St Johnstone this afternoon.

Although Rogic didn’t score, the big midfielder did set up two of the Hoops’ three goals.

According to WhoScored, he also set up six chances overall and clocked 91 touches.

When Rogic is in this kind of form, he’s a very difficult player to combat and here’s what Sutton said about him on Twitter:

Massive player

Rogic has been reiterating his importance to Ange Postecoglou’s side this season.

Since Brendan Rodgers quit Celtic, the Aussie hasn’t been as formidable in a goalscoring sense as he was under the Leicester City manager.

But as a creative force, Rogic, who has eight assists this season, remains absolutely vital for the Bhoys.

Keeping him fit is of paramount importance because, as mentioned, on this form, he is massive for Celtic and his club’s Premiership title hopes could hinge on having him available regularly during the second half of the campaign.
