West Ham United fans on Twitter were impressed with the performance of Nick Pope despite the goalkeeper helping his Burnley side to a 1-0 win over David Moyes’ men on Wednesday night.

To the despair of the West Ham fans, Pope arguably produced his best performance of the season to dent their chances of survival.

The positive for the Hammers is that they are four points above the relegation zone, but that could be reduced to one point tonight if Aston Villa can beat Manchester United.

At this moment in time, Pope is England’s number two behind Jordan Pickford, but the Burnley man has outperformed his fellow countryman this term.
