A former Wolverhampton Wanderers player is being linked with a move to rivals West Bromwich Albion.

It’s perhaps fair to assume that Rajiv van La Parra will be buying his own pints should he ever set foot in another Wolverhampton alehouse.
The Dutch winger’s two-year spell at Wolves does not evoke fond memories in that particular part of the Black Country, and ended in acrimonious circumstances – shortly after he was branded an ‘idiot’, ‘utter clown’ and ‘new Jamie O’Hara’ by Wanderers fans on social media.

It followed an update by Van La Parra on Instagram, which read: “One week they love you. Next week they hate you. Both weeks I got paid.”
And Van La Parra kept up the pantomime villain act when he scored the winning goal on his first reunion with Wolves as a Huddersfield Town player, less than two months after his permanent transfer was rubber-stamped.
But the 26-year-old could yet twist the knife even further, by signing for Wolves’ local rivals West Bromwich Albion in January.

According to the Sun, a move may well be on the cards, with new West Brom boss Alan Pardew said to be keen on a deal for Van La Parra – whom he believes he can get for £5 million.
Were Van La Parra to take the Baggies down, however, then all should be forgiven in Wolves – especially if Wanderers are promoted at the pair’s expense.
