Celtic target Ivan Toney has once again been left out of Peterborough United’s friendly squad, as speculation over his future continues.
The Daily Record have reported how Celtic are interested in Toney, but they have struggled to agree a price, with Posh wanting £9 million for the 24-year-old.
Posh transfer chief Barry Fry has told the Daily Mail that Toney wants a move to Parkhead, but so far Neil Lennon’s side have not made an acceptable offer for the powerhouse forward.
Peterborough seem to be planning for his departure currently though, as Toney has not featured at all over pre-season so far.
Posh have now played three friendlies, the latest coming against Mansfield Town yesterday, but Toney has been nowhere to be seen.

The Celtic target has been pictured in training with his Peterborough teammates, but very infrequently, with an exit expected.
Celtic are having to compete with Brentford for his signature, with both clubs keen to get a deal over the line.
Toney scored 26 goals for Peterborough last term, and is regarded as one of the best striking talents outside the Premier League in England.
