It has been reported that the former Chelsea defender will complete a free transfer to West Brom on Monday.
The 36-year-old Serbia international is a free agent at the moment, having left Russian Premier League club Zenit Saint Petersburg.
It seems that the veteran defender has decided to snub an offer from Everton to make the move to Slaven Bilic’s West Brom.
The three-time Premier League champion with Chelsea told Republika in August 2020 that he had “received a good offer” from Everton (click here to read more).
Good signing for West Bromwich Albion?
Ivanovic is past his prime and is 36 years of age now, but the former Chelsea star has a wealth of experience which will help West Brom.
The Baggies will play in the Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship.
Manager Bilic will know how hard it will be to stay in the division, and Ivanovic will be a leader in the dressing room and will make a big difference in big moments.
