Bojan Krkic has suggested that Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino would be a good signing for Barcelona in the summer transfer window, as quoted in Goal.com.

The 29-year-old Montreal Impact player, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, has outlined the attributes of Firmino that would make him a good addition to the current Barcelona team.

The Spaniard started his professional club football career at Barcelona and was on the books of Stoke City for a certain period of time as well.

Bojan has suggested that Barcelona would be better off with Firmino than Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, who is reportedly a transfer target.

Goal.com quotes Bojan as saying: “Inter don’t usually take the initiative and that makes me think that Lautaro could occupy an area at Barca that is naturally not his.

“[That is] something that would certainly be a shame. If you allow me a name, I would bet more on Firmino: a link player, with a lot of presence and great mobility.”

Important player for Liverpool

Firmino has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Hoffenheim for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £29 million.

The 28-year-old forward has been superb for the Reds over the years and has established himself as a key figure in manager Jurgen Klopp’s side.

While Barcelona are a massive club, it is hard to see Firmino leave Liverpol this summer given that he is having success at the Reds and is playing regular first-team football.
