Genk star Joseph Paintsil reportedly wants to join Daniel Farke’s Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, Leeds United are interested in signing Joseph Paintsil from Genk this summer.
Leeds, who are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League, have made an offer worth €10 million (£8.58 million) for the 25-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
Genk have not responded to Leeds’s offer yet.
The Athletic has added that Paintsil turned down a move to Southampton earlier this summer, but the Ghana international wants a transfer to Leeds now and has told his club so.
“Paintsil has told Genk his preference is to join Leeds and personal terms for the 25-year-old Ghana international would not be an issue,” adds the report.
Leeds United could be able to sign Joseph Paintsil
In our view, Leeds United could be able to sign Joseph Paintsil from Genk in the summer transfer window.
It seems that the Ghana international prefers a move to Leeds.

If the attacker himself is keen on a transfer to the West Yorkshire club, then it is hard to see Genk keep him against his will.
Paintsil has made two starts and two substitute appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season.
The attacker has given two assists in those games.
Last season, the Ghana international made 34 starts and two substitute appearances in the league.
Paintsil scored 17 goals and gave 11 assists in those games.
