Player snubs Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea for £135,000-a-week deal

According to MediaFoot, Rafael Leao has decided to stay at AC Milan, which will come as a blow for Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Graham Potter’s Chelsea.

The report in the French news outlet has claimed that Leao has decided to sign a new contract with AC Milan and will stay with the defending Serie A champions.

The 23-year-old, who played for Portugal at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, will reportedly earn €8 million per year (£7m per year, £135,000 per week) as salary at the Rossoneri.

Rafael Leao’s decision to stay at Milan will be disappointing for Tottenham, Chelsea and PSG.

That’s because Spurs, the Blues and the defending Ligue 1 champions all want to secure the services of the former Lille star.

MediaFoot have claimed that PSV are keen on signing the young forward.

According to CMW in December 2022, Chelsea are interested in Leao and could make a bid of €120 million (£106 million) for the youngster.

CMW had earlier reported that Tottenham are keen on signing Leao. who has scored seven goals and provided four assists in Serie A and has scored one goal and provided two assists in the UEFA Champions League for Milan so far this season.
