Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has told The Glasgow Evening Times that he hopes to be at Ibrox next season.
Davis is out of contract at Rangers at the end of the season, and no new deal is in place yet.
The 36-year-old midfielder had a loan spell at Rangers from Southampton in 2019 and made the move permanent in the summer of 2019.
This is Davis’s second spell at Rangers, and the Northern Ireland international has said that he is happy at the club and has a good relationship with the bosses.
The former Aston Villa and Southampton star has said that he hopes to be at Rangers next season.
Davis told The Glasgow Evening Times: “As I say, we want to try and finish the season as strongly as possible. There’s still a lot for us to try and achieve this year and play for.
“Both the club and myself have had the same approach which was really to just focus on the football and try to get ourselves in a position that whenever the time came to talk we were ready to do that.
“I’ve got a very open relationship with both the gaffer and Ross (Wilson) and we’re constantly talking anyway. I just want to enjoy my football and I’m doing that. I’m sure I’ll be playing on next season.”

New contract for Steven Davis?
Davis may be 36 now, but he is still very fit and remains an important player in the Rangers team.
According to WhoScored, the Northern Ireland international has made 22 starts and six substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership and has played six times in the Europa League for the Gers so far this season.
A new one-year contract would make sense for Davis, as he could play a big role in the dressing room.
