Celtic are interested in signing goalkeeper Marshall from Wigan Athletic in the Championship in England in the summer transfer window, according to the report.
However, according to the report, another club in the Championship in England have offered the former Celtic goalkeeper a deal, with Wigan recently going into administration.
Celtic need to act fast
The Scottish Sun reported earlier this month that Marshall would jump at the chance of returning to Celtic.
With the 35-year-old reportedly so eager to make the switch to the Hoops and with Craig Gordon having left the Glasgow giants, Neil Lennon’s side need to act fast if they are to sign the Scotland international.
Good signing for Celtic?
Marshall may be in his mid-30s, but he remains a very capable goalkeeper who would be a very good and safe signing for Celtic, who are aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row in 2020-21.
