Jesse Lingard is frustrated at Manchester United, according to The Telegraph, amid reported interest from West Ham United.
The Star reported earlier this month that West Ham have been in contact with the England international’s representatives.
The Telegraph has now claimed that the 28-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, is frustrated that ‘his career is now slipping with Euro 2020 at the end of the season’.
The report has added that United will not allow the Englishman to leave for another Premier League or Europa League rival.
Could a move to West Ham United be possible?
United are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, and it is unlikely that the Red Devils will see West Ham as a direct rival.
The Hammers are a big and established club in the Premier League, but David Moyes’s side are unlikely to challenge for the Champions League places.
A move to West Ham would make sense for Lingard, as he is likely to get more playing time at the Hammers.
According to WhoScored, Lingard has made one start and one substitute appearance in the EFL Cup and one appearance in the FA Cup for United so far this season.
